Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)

Each Canadian province and territory operate its own Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) to address local labor market needs. Through the PNP, provinces can nominate individuals for PR who have skills and experience that align with their specific regional needs. There are two main types of PNP streams:

• Express Entry-linked PNP streams:

Allow provinces to nominate candidates who are already in the Express Entry pool.

• Base PNP streams:

Operate independently of the Express Entry system and require a separate application process.

• Canada has ten provinces and three territories.

Provinces:

Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, and Saskatchewan.

Territories:

Each province and territory has its own immigration program based on its economic development plan.
